In the UK we tend to think people who are confident or ambitious are cocky or arrogant so often people hold back in the fear of being knocked back down again by those around them. Confidence and arrogance are not the same thing and it’s OK to have confidence in yourself.
Maybe you never had a lot of confidence or you did in the past but somebody took it from you by holding you back or events beyond your control made you doubt yourself. It can be hard to pick yourself up from these problems but it can be done.
Events in my past meant that I found myself homeless as a very young man and it was quite a fight to pick myself up and build a new life for myself. Situations that have arisen since then made me doubt myself too but simple strategies and techniques I developed helped me get through those times and succeed regardless of those events or what other people said.
This Life Coach Kent site is about helping people and one of the most important things I help people with is conquering fear and helping to build confidence. It’s hard to get motivated or make life changing decisions if you have low confidence or no self esteem so if you would like help with getting faith back in yourself and the courage to improve your life, drop me a line, I would be glad to help. Use the form on the Contact Page to get in touch and I will call you as soon as I can.
I clearly remember the first year in my first decent job and after working hard to get there I was surprised I found myself asking “Is this it? Is this all there is, work, eat, sleep, work again, separated by a few days off and the occasional holiday?”.
Friends and colleagues would say to me “that’s life, you’ll have to get used to it”. Well I didn’t get used to it and I decided to do something about it.
My journey to find the right work life balance took me to different jobs, working freelance, starting my own businesses and working in other countries before I found the exact type of freedom and flexibility I wanted.
That freedom has come about to a certain extent via financial freedom; being able to earn enough money in the right way to enjoy life. Because I had heard so many people tell me that life was hard work and I should get used to it, when I found out it didn’t have to be I wanted to share what I had learned.
A better work life balance is out there for most people but fear of the unknown and the fact everyone is telling you “that’s life, get used to it” holds people back from finding it.
If you want to get more out of life and you would like some help to take those steps just get in touch and I’d be happy to help, an initial consultation is free so you’ve got nothing to lose. You can fill out the form on our Kent Life Coaching Contact Page or call the number at the top of this page.
Getting motivation and staying motivated is not always easy. Seeking inspiration to draw on when you are stuck in a rut is important for all of us. Even if you know you need to make changes in your life, it’s far easier and comfortable to stay where you are and stick with what you know.
Many people get a personal trainer at the gym because they know with someone waiting for them to show up and monitoring their performance they can’t make excuses to stay at home and they are encouraged to stay motivated. A life coach can do the same for keeping you motivated, monitor your performance and keep you on the right track when improving your life, career, business or relationships.
A life coach can also be similar to a personal trainer at the gym in the way you often know what you need to do but the small tips and tweaks to improve performance and encouragement is all you need to see things through.
If you’d like to know what a personal trainer for your life could do get in touch for a free initial consultation.
